When you are challenged, how do you react?

Saturday 26 September - reactions to some daft actions!

Sometimes we do the craziest of things.... and then we can't see the way forward... ever been there?

I bumped the central heating timer switch and managed to turn the whole system off during a very cold spell - oops! Worse, this isn't the first time I've done that..

Oh well, let's hope it is a few years until I do that again, or better still, let's hope I am wise enough to never do that again!

This lockdown, with area wide restrictions, definitely feels different. Is it because we are more used to the expectations and requirements?  Or, are have we adjusted to the situation and understand that it isn't forever? We now have a tiered system to manage the different outbreaks.

Whatever the reason it really does feel so much easier.

One thing I've noticed is that I am seriously more focused and setting out plans and actions for the business. It has been a challenging time as I have supported others and not really focused on my needs, or those of my business.

I have been reading some amazing books recently.

The Power of Moments was so inspiring and motivating that it is still next to my bed.

The E-Myth Revisited, by Michael Gerber, is my current 'kitchen listen'. Another thought provoking book but really insightful as I am considering my options and plans for the future. Loving the concept of the three parts of us all competing for space in our business life... I can so relate to that!

I go into much more detail and provide insights into my thinking in the video but this is the essence of the moment ;).

with love
