Richmond is steeped in history, with Easby Abbey on the outskirts, Richard III’s Middleham Castle just down the road, and of course Richmond Castle, which overseas daily market life in the heart of the town.

On the banks of the River Swale and gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, picture James Herriot and his many adventures. We will explore, pause, relax and enjoy the local people, history, scenery, and wildlife. The butterflies abound at this time of year.


Be active, experience something special

Daily walks allow you to explore the town and local countryside at a leisurely pace. Take your time, enjoy the experience, absorb the surroundings and relax.

Visit the castle, wander through the cobbled streets, enjoy the riverside walks and appreciate the endeavour as we climb the surrounding hills to experience more of the Dale.

Start the day with morning yoga to warm up and meditation to still the mind. Relax in the evening with yoga to stretch and some coaching time if desired.


Treat yourself...

To a very comfortable retreat, staying in the beautiful, 350-year-old Fleece Hotel, and experience some grand living for a couple of days.

Breakfast daily in the hotel, after your morning yoga, before heading out to explore and enjoy all this area has to offer.
